You are a sinner, imperfect and disappoint God daily.
But He will never leave you. He will never stop loving you. He will bless you more than you deserve.
The problem is that you might be the child who only knows Him when you need help or when you feel lost. You betray or forget about Him when you are with a certain crowd, or during the week. Sunday you will go to church just to make yourself feel better, but as soon as you step out of Church, you embrace the worldly lifestyle.
When things go wrong you will easily blame God, but if you have cut God out of your life how do you expect Him to intervene. You make the choices and cannot blame God if something goes wrong.
He should be your first priority, you should not be ashamed of your Creator. The One who provides for you, Who blesses you every day even when you do not deserve it.
