Trust is a very strong word. Nowadays it is very difficult to trust anyone.
Everyone is only looking out for themselves and they will stab you in the back should you come in their way of success, seen as a threat or getting something they believe should have been theirs.
They will easily try to blow out your candle so that their candle can look brighter.
But what do you have that God needs? He is the Creator, He has send His Son so that you can have hope, joy and an everlasting life. He send the Holy Spirit to guide you every day. He gave you the Bible as a manual for every situation in your life.
You CAN trust God, He only wants the very best for you.
